St Barnabas Day | Beating the bounds

Join us as to mark the feast day of our patron saint St Barnabas. We’ll walk around the boundaries of our parish to celebrate our life within the Bow community, before coming back to the church of St Barnabas for tea and cake.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you live in the parish of St Barnabas or outside it, today’s walk will answer your questions!

Beating the bounds is an ancient ceremony that strengthens the sense of place and is a reminder of the parish geography.

We hope very much you can take part. We will set out directly once Mass has ended. The walk should take under an hour, and then we can come back and enjoy tea and cake in church.
